Ho Ho Ho Let It Snow

Nancy Halvorsen is one of our favorite artists to work with here at OESD. We met up with Nancy to talk about Ho Ho Ho Let it Snow:

What is your favorite project from your new “Ho Ho Ho” collection?

It's hard to pick a favorite project because I don't include a project if I don't really love it. I had fun in "Ho Ho Ho" with looking at a snowman from a different perspective; namely from above as if you were a snowflake falling from the sky yourself. Snowmen are so fresh and frosty and I love the bright contrasting colors.

What is your favorite tip to give on embroidery and/or sewing?

Most of the projects that I design include fusible applique because it's quick and easy. I always recommend that the center is cut out of the fusible web and just 1/4" of fusible is left around the inside of the applique shape. This leaves the applique soft and allows for some fun embroidery or quilting embellishment.
